BVI Due Diligence Requirements

Before we proceed with a BVI company formation for your use we would require acceptable due diligence. The due diligence and information colleted for the company incorporation will be held privately. 

To comply with our BVI due diligence requirements we ask that you provide us with the following two items:

1) A CERTIFIED clear copy of the passport or drivers license or national identity card of each director, shareholder/beneficial shareholder, secretary, officer, etc. in the proposed BVI company. 

Example wording:

“I hereby certify this to be a true copy of the original and that the photograph bears a true likeness to the individual.”

This certification should be from a lawyer, law firm, notary public, accountant, accounting firm or Justice of the Peace.  And the certification must be signed, dated and has the contact information of the individual or organization doing the certification.

2) A CERTIFIED clear copy of a utility bill with a residential address in relation to each director, shareholder/beneficial shareholder, secretary, officer, etc. in the proposed BVI company. (water, gas, electric, or telephone bill, credit card statement, etc. - not more than three (3) months old).

Example wording:

“I hereby certify this to be a true copy of the original ……………….. in relation to ………………..”

This certification should be from a lawyer, law firm, notary public, accountant, accounting firm or Justice of the Peace.  And the certification must be signed, dated and has the contact information of the individual or organization doing the certification.

If you do not have a utility bill with an address, contact us and we will provide you with an alternative. This information will be held confidentially at our office in the British Virgin Islands. 

After we receive acceptable due diligence, the offshore company formation can be completed with the BVI Companies Registry within one to two business days.
